12th International Conference RRNR 2027 — Non-Integer Order Calculus and Its Applications, 23–24 September 2027, Opole
12th International Conference

About RRNR

RRNR 2027 continues the conference series devoted to non-integer order calculus and its applications in mathematics, modelling, systems analysis and control.

The RRNR series began in June 2009 in Łódź as the first Polish annual seminar dedicated to non-integer order calculus. Subsequent editions were hosted by different Polish research centres, and in 2016 the seminar was renamed a conference. The 11th edition was held in Częstochowa in 2019.

The 12th edition returns to Opole, which previously hosted the 6th RRNR conference in 2014. RRNR has an international profile and provides a forum for mathematicians, control researchers, engineers and scientists using non-integer-order models across applied disciplines.

In memoriam

In memory of Prof. Piotr Ostalczyk

RRNR 2027 is dedicated to Prof. Piotr Ostalczyk, initiator of the first RRNR seminar in Łódź and one of the key figures of the Polish fractional-calculus community.

Scientific scope

Conference topics

RRNR 2027 develops the traditional scope of the series: mathematical foundations, modelling, analysis and synthesis of non-integer-order systems, and their applications.

01 · Theory

Mathematical foundations of non-integer order calculus

Definitions and properties of non-integer-order operators, continuous and discrete calculus, differential and difference equations, special functions, variable-order operators, and numerical and approximation methods.

02 · Modelling

Dynamical-system modelling and identification

Continuous- and discrete-time models, state-space and transfer-function representations, memory models, parameter and order identification, operator approximation, and modelling of physical and industrial processes.

03 · Analysis

Analysis of non-integer-order systems

Stability, controllability, observability, detectability, positivity, delayed systems, descriptor systems, and qualitative and structural properties of dynamical systems.

04 · Control

Control and closed-loop synthesis

Non-integer-order controllers, including PIλDμ structures, optimal, robust and adaptive control, closed-loop design, numerical realisation and real-time implementation.

05 · Applications

Engineering and interdisciplinary applications

Mechanics, electrical and electronic engineering, signal processing, thermal and diffusion processes, robotics, automation, biomedical engineering, electrochemistry, and other areas where model memory and nonlocality are important.

RRNR 2027 — planned publication tracks

Track 1

Springer

Selected high-quality papers are planned for a conference volume. Series details, page limits and selection rules will be announced after the publishing arrangements are finalised.

Track 2

Alternative publication route

Authors who decide not to publish a full paper in the monograph, or whose papers are not selected for this form of publication, will have the opportunity to publish an extended abstract in the Scientific Papers of Opole University of Technology. Detailed information concerning this publication track will be provided in a subsequent announcement.
